The University of Tasmania (UTAS) is committed to supporting its employees to improve their health and wellbeing.
Formerly known as Active UTAS, HealthyU is a holistic program designed to improve the health and wellbeing of UTAS employees through four key areas; physical activity, mental health, nutrition and hydration, and drugs and alcohol.
HealthyU seeks to overcome some of the barriers to participation in positive health and wellbeing opportunities, as well as foster change in the workplace that encourages staff to make a commitment to their health on a daily basis. The program includes a range of physical activity and educational workshop sessions at various times and locations on Hobart (HBT), Launceston (LTN), Cradle Coast (CC), Rozelle (NSW) and Darlinghurst (NSW) campuses to maximise potential reach to staff in a social group environment that not only improves health and wellbeing but cohesion, productivity and morale in the workplace.
